CYRIL PARKS: THE FILM MAKER
Cyril Parks of Noel left a legacy for Hants County: a film entitled “Hants County Beautiful” shot on 16 mm film in color during the post-war years. The film depicts life in Hants County as it was 60 years ago. The original film runs for three hours but a 30 minute edited version has been converted to DVD by the Heroes of Hants County Association. The edited version of film is screened daily in the Burntcoat Head Park in Burntcoat, Hants Co.

"Hants County Beautiful" is "...a 30 minute short depicting life in Hants County in the early 1940s. The original 16mm film was created by Parks to promote tourism in Hants County in the early 1940s. The original 16 mm film was created by Parks to promote tourism in Hants County during the post World War II boom and was shown at Province House. Sixty years later, the film has been restored to DVD and continues its role in the promotion of Hants County tourism."
